Confirmation preparation at St. Agnes & St. William of York is a one-year program for teens in 8th grade and above that engages the candidates in discussion, prayer, and fellowship. The program involves twice monthly meetings, both for formation and prayer small groups, as well as witness projects, a pilgrimage to a local religious site, and a retreat day. Confirmation is typically in April-May, each year pending the decisions of the Bishops’ office. Registration opens Spring of the year preceding the Confirmation date, and closes when meetings begin in the September leading up to Confirmation. For any questions or to register your teen, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
All students desiring to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, First Holy Eucharist, or Confirmation must attend Catholic School or a Faith Formation Program for the year prior to the sacramental year as well as the sacramental year itself. During the sacramental year, students must also enroll in one of our Sacramental Preparation Programs. Sacramental Preparation is separate from regular Faith Formation, in accordance with the policies of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
